FEATURED PRODUCTS: ALUMINUM ARMOR PLATE

5059H136 (Mil-DTL-46027) – a relatively new alloy which is similar to 5083H131 in
corrosion resistance, weldability and against bullets but surpasses it in mine explosions
and spalling and is stronger and has higher elongation.

5083H131 (MIL-DTL-46027) – commonly used aluminum armor, good corrosion
resistance and weldability.

6061T6 (ASTM-B-209 tested to MIL-DTL-32262) – stocked to the commercial
specifications but is often tested at Aberdeen Proving Ground to ballistic standards and is
then used in armor applications.

7039T6 (MIL-DTL-46063) – very high strength material, good ballistic properties, not
recommended for welding.
